Charna Island is an ideal diving spot. Charna Island, the paradise on earth. One of the most
beautiful islands in Pakistan. Surrounded by coral gardens
replete with exotic marine life, the country’s second-largest island has become
a paradise for water-sports lovers.
Charna Island for many is
nothing less than a hidden paradise located in the Arabian Sea.
About 9km west of the Hub River, at the boundary between the
provinces of Balochistan and Sindh. Charna is approximately 1.2km long and
0.5km Wide Island. It’s known as "Cheerno". In locally in
fisherman people. It is 6 km away from Mubarak Village. Charna Island is best known and popular for Snorkeling and
Scuba diving trips. This is one of the most
stunning places in Pakistan With clear green water and a rocky mountain.
Since
the sea is calm with the absence of high tides, so the best time to snorkel is
now especially in October till April. It is a natural phenomenon that
the water seems & feels much warmer during the winters as compared to the
summers. The
mystery behind the water seeming to be warmer in winters than summers has
really made it a wonderful experience, and a big tourist spot.

Island from Mubarak Goth. Mubarak Goth is the second-largest fishermen locality
in Karachi.
There
are many species of fish, crabs, and lobsters. Barracuda, narrow-barred Spanish
mackerel, cobia, Dorado, Tuna, angelfish, sea urchin, sea fan, oyster, ray
fish, and rare green turtle.
Charna
also used as a firing range by the Pakistan Navy. It is famous for water sports
such as scuba diving, free diving, underwater photography, hiking, speed
boating, kneeboarding, wake Tubing, jet skiing, cliff diving, and snorkeling.
It is the only island in
Sindh to have crystal green water. The rocky island has no shores, and the
water there is as calm as it gets. Rich in wildlife, Charna Island is not only
a very popular spot among tourists, but the
local fishermen also come
here a lot. It truly is a beautiful blessing, If you
have never been to an island,
you have no idea how much you’re missing in life.
The journey is just two hours
long from Karachi to your destiny. One thing that is for sure that Charna has
one of the best water in the world. The island is well kept by the locals
there, that there is not a single sign of pollution present there. The locals
here are very friendly and hospitable. Especially, the fishing community, as
the Pakistani nation they also love having visitors and tourists over. The
clean island and peaceful water make you feel really relaxed and fresh. The
best spot for taking the artistic view, the views are beautiful and look really
artistic while the sunsets. Exploring caves & to cliff diving also charm of
Charna Island.
Charna is also very famous
for the blue whale sighting. A blue whale was spotted near the island, and
since then many other whales have also been spotted, like the killer whales and
Baleen whales. Whale sharks have also been spotted at Charna during the
migratory season at the end of the summer, Leap of Faith: it is time to go
cliff jumping: a 25 to 30 foot leap into the water. The idea is frightening,
but at the same time exhilarating.
You can
explore the caves at Charna Island, which are hidden from the naked eye but our
experienced crew will take you deep into the heart of the mountain.
Security
is very tight on the island, so, ensure kept your indent documents as CNIC for
local and Passport for foreigners.
