Bin Qasim Park

Bin Qasim Park is located near the Clifton beach and it is Karachi's largest urban park which is covering 130 acres. Each year over 10 million people visited there. The park's name commemorates the 8th-century Arab conqueror, Muhammad Bin Qasim (695 – 715). 

 It is ideal for picnics and lazy strolls because of its large green lawns, ample shaded canopies, and benches.
 There are many events taking place in the park on a large scale by govt and public sector, as Sindh Festival 2014. The park was ceremonially opened by then-President Pervez Musharraf on February 27, 2007. It was created by the Clifton Beach Development Project on the location of the former Funland Theme Park. Many large public gatherings and events are frequently held here due to its huge size of park grounds.
Bin Qasim Park's old name was Locus Park. This park has 2 portions. The smaller one is for children that have each and everything for children's entertainment. The larger portion has a running track, greenery, benches, garden, etc.
The park also has a turtle pond, dinosaur figures, and a large rose garden. The park’s lush green gardens overlook the 90-meter high Port Fountain of Karachi Port Trust.
Timing: Bin Qasim Park is open for 24 hours a day for everyone however Sunday is a family day.

The Pier of the complex built-in 1921. It is named after Lady Lloyd, Governor of Bombay Sir George Lloyd's wife. There is a marble plaque embedded in the pier wall that reads, "Lady Lloyd Pier". The Lady Lloyd Pier runs down the middle of the park providing spectacular views. 'Bin Qasim' park - as it is popularly referred to by locals - shares the vicinity with another park, called 'Beach Park'.
